Fenwick

Fenwick adds quite a bit to its line of rods in 2009, including new additions to its Elite Tech walleye and bass rods and expansion of its Techna AV rod lineup. The company is expanding its line of bass rods with three more rods that are specifically matched to different fishing styles.

The new Elite Tech bass rods are the Top Water (baitcasting), Jig & Worm (baitcasting) and Shaky Stik (spinning) rods that are built to best suit their functions. The latest walleye rods include a full line of 12 rods that are suited for all techniques in walleye fishing, including:

  • Jigging
  • Rigging
  • Slip Bobber
  • Crank Bait
  • Bottom Bouncing
  • Trolling

The rods feature one piece aero frame guides with SIC inserts for weight and balance, graphite bell foregrip for added sensitivity and badges for identification of the rod and the rod’s application.

Fenwick also expanded its top-of-the-line Techna AV line, providing more choices. The additions include a pair of new spinning rods and a new casting rod, each taylored to special fishing needs. The new casting rod is 7-foot, 1-inches in length and tailored for casting swim baits, power worms and frogs — the ideal largemouth casting rods. A 7-foot medium-heavy spinning rod is intended for fishing soft baits around heavy cover, and the 7-1/2-foot rod, intended for inshore and salmon anglers, is intended for casting to those schooling stripers, blues and other fish.
