Tthe Gooses continues to hold up as the number one chumming location. Last week, there was a slight resurgence of bottom fishing action at the Stone Rock, Sharps Island Light, the mouth of the Choptank River and the Diamonds.

Legal flounder have been hitting squid and minnow combinations along the channel edge out from James Island. Anglers successfully fishing for flounder tell us that if you catch one, there are usually more around. Breaking fish can be found practically anywhere from Breezy Point north to the Bay Bridges and inside the Eastern Bay.

Trollers have been working for their fish. Last week, widely-scattered catches of stripers, along with a few blues and mackerel, were made in various depths and at locations such as the Radar Towers, Silver Ball, Parkers Creek, a little north of the Gas Docks and above Holland Point. The stripers are constantly on the move, and if you are fortunate to locate a bunch, multiple hook-ups frequently occur.

Anglers chasing breaking fish and casting to or jigging on them have been catching mostly small fish. Chumming at the Gooses continues to hold up.
